Booking and cancellations
How do I book a tour?
Click See Dates to see every open date and book online. The Kensington Market International Food Tour is $129 CAD per adult. The Great Canadian Food Tour is $114 CAD per adult.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before your tour are not refunded, and neither are no-shows. The full policy is in our terms and conditions.
Will my tour still run if only a few people book?
Yes. Every scheduled tour is a guaranteed departure, with no minimum number of guests.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Choose Gift Cards in the menu at the top of any page to buy one online.
What to expect on the tour
How long is the tour, and how far do we walk?
Both public tours take about two and a half hours. You walk about one mile at an easy, unhurried pace.
How much food is there?
Enough for a full-size meal for most people. Come hungry.
Is it just eating?
No. Between stops, your guide shares the history, culture and architecture of the neighbourhood, and the stories behind each dish.
Where do we meet, and is there parking?
Your meeting location and directions are sent after you book. Parking details are included, but we suggest public transit because parking downtown can be inconvenient.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run in all weather. If it looks like rain, we can give you a plastic rain poncho.
What should I bring?
A camera and a small bottle of water. On hot days, bring sunscreen and sunglasses. In cooler months, add a warm layer, gloves and a scarf.
Can children come?
All ages are welcome. For guests under 18, a parent or legal guardian accepts our terms and conditions on their behalf.
Food, allergies and access
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
On our public tours we can easily accommodate vegetarian and pescatarian guests. We cannot accommodate vegan guests, or guests avoiding gluten, eggs, dairy or nuts. Please tell us about any dietary needs when you book. Private tours and team outings can accommodate allergies and food preferences, from halal or kosher to gluten-free.
Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
Not every stop on our tours is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us before you book so we can help.
Do you have support for guests who are hard of hearing?
Yes. We can provide a written script of the tour narration. Please ask at least 24 hours before your tour.
Are tours offered in other languages?
Not at this time. All tours are in English.
Private tours and team outings
Can we book a private tour?
Yes. Any group can request one of our public tours as a private tour. We also host private group tours and team outings that visit several restaurants in about three hours. Food, drinks and gratuities are bundled into one price, starting at $2,000 for a group of 15.
Can you meet our team at the office?
Yes. For team outings, your host can meet your group at your office and take you to each stop.
Are drinks available?
Beer, wine and top-shelf liquor packages are available for private tours and team outings.
We are in Toronto for one day. Can you help us plan?
Yes. Contact our team for help pairing a tour with other popular attractions during your time in port.
Does a private tour support a local cause?
Yes. A portion of every private tour sale is donated to Daily Bread Food Bank to help fight hunger in Toronto.
